The MSU Tech Bookstore in Virginia Tech’s campus bookstore will become a bookstore.
The bookstore, located at the same location where MSU’s flagship bookstore, The Bookworm, is located, will open this fall and will be located in the same building as the MSU bookstore.
MSU President Kevin Flynn announced the bookstore and its new name on Twitter, and the store’s website now redirects to the MSUs bookstore.
In addition, a book about “Big Blue” tech is now available online at MSUs Tech Bookshop.
In an interview with Tech Insider, Michael Graziano, the co-owner of The Bookworms, said that the book will be “the first digital-only book from the MSUC Bookshop that will be available to readers, and we’re very excited to bring this to you as a digital-first experience.”
The book is titled Big Blue: The Story of Microsoft and the Big Blue Microprocessor.
The book details how Microsoft created and then abandoned the Microprocessor, which made it possible for the company to create Windows and OS X operating systems.
Microsoft, however, continued to support the Microchip, which would eventually become the processor that drives the company’s current and future computers.
In 2014, the company announced that it would be discontinuing the Micro Chip in favor of the ARM architecture.
