A group of students at Binghamton University said Wednesday they were “so sorry” after students rallied for Bingborough Bookstore owners to open a new location to accommodate the increasing number of students living in the city.
The students at the college in northern New York said they have come to the university to help with a new bookshop in the area that they believe is underserved.
Binghampton University announced the news in a tweet late Wednesday.
It was a great honor to welcome our first ever bookshop at our BINGHAMTON!
We are proud to be the first in the world to have such a place, and it is so great to be able to welcome the BINGBHAMTON bookshop!

Students also launched a GoFundMe campaign, and they are seeking donations in a bid to open the BingBhamton store.
The school has been trying to open up a new BingBang to accommodate students who live in other parts of the city, and in March, Binghamont announced it would move a student bookshop to the college campus.
The BINGBOOKS will be moving into a new building on campus.
The space is now filled with students who need help.
The college is also offering a $1,000 scholarship to help students who have a student at the time of the event.
