By now, the Bison have made their mark on college basketball.
A national title win, three straight trips to the NCAA Tournament and a berth in the NCAA tournament quarterfinals were among the highlights.
But the Bisons also went on to lose a lot of games this season, including a loss to then-No. 2 Villanova in the second round of the NCAA playoffs.
The Bison, now in their fifth season in the BCS, have been struggling financially and their fan base has declined in recent years, and they are set to have their season ended by the NCAA due to financial mismanagement.
What happens next for BSU Books?
BSU has been trying to rebrand its store into something that fits with the brand of the Buss family, but with the current brand, it doesn’t look like a viable option.
The current store is not an ideal fit, according to one BSU source.
There’s also been a number of attempts by the Buses to move out of the downtown area, which would have made the bookstore location a viable alternative to the University of Oklahoma.
There are also questions as to how BSU will be able to survive the next five years as the team that has dominated the B-State program for the past decade.
